Friday Blog Week 7

Reception Blog – Friday 22nd May 2020

Hello everyone!

Wow! What a scorching few days we’ve had! We hope you’ve taken a little time off home school to enjoy the glorious weather and get your paddling pools out again!

It has been lovely to see so many of you enjoying our learning based on The Enormous Turnip over the past couple of weeks and we hope you are having lots of fun with The 3 Little Pigs too.

We won’t be setting any formal learning for next week with it being the ‘official’ school holiday and expect you will have plenty to keep you going from this week. You can always access Phonics Play, Oak Learning Academy, Sumdog, Twinkl Go! and Purple Mash should you want to keep a routine going. Below are some Science activities you may wish to do.

Please remember that there is no time limit on any of the activities and we would love to see any photos if/ when you complete the activities set. Remember to check out the photo gallery below!

Friday Farm Activity

  • Lifecycle of an animal – Use the PowerPoints and sheets in resources, Twinkl Go! activity (Code: SL6589), BBC Bitesize https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/clips/zxcmp39 to explore the lifecycle of a farm animal such as a chick. You may prefer to choose your favourite animal or frog or butterfly
  • Animal and their young – Use the picture cards in resources, Twinkl Go! activity (Code: SL6589), BBC Bitesize https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/clips/z8x76sg or your own animal toys, to match and name animals and their young.

If it’s your birthday during the holiday, we hope you have a fantastic day!

Stay safe, keep smiling and happy half term.
