Happy Half Term!
Wow! How can it be the half term holiday again?! The past couple of weeks seem to have whizzed by, but it also seems such a long time ago that we had the chicks in our class. We simply can't believe that our children are approaching their last half term in Reception!
Last week, we had an absolutely amazing day at Skelton Grange. The children made us really proud with their behaviour and also their positive, enthusiasm and determined attitudes towards the outdoor activities. If you haven't yet looked at the many photos we posted on Tapestry, please make sure you do, there are some fab ones!
The whole school had a wonderful day celebrating the Platinum Jubilee on Tuesday. As always, our class impressed us with their curiosity to find out about the Queen and the Royal Family and their brilliant discussions. We hope you all enjoy celebrating the Jubilee at home or away next weekend.
Our focus this week has been our RE Special Stories unit. The children have been able to recall a huge amount of learning from our previous RE lessons which has shown us just how much they have been listening! They have loved learning about different stories from the Bible and today, about a story from another faith - Hinduism. Again, please look on Tapestry for lots of observations and photographs. This group of children really are one of the most curious and empathetic classes we've ever known!
We hope you all have a fantastic holiday!
The Reception Team :)
