Week 3 Friday Blog

Friday Blog!

Hello everyone!  So, how has this week of home learning been? We know it will be different for everyone and we will all have good days and bad days. We are still here to support you and we would really like you to look after your wellbeing as well as help you with your learning. We really hope you are managing to stay in touch with your friends and family by phoning them or video calling them.

PurpleMash: For those of you who have tried to complete Flora’s Challenge on PurpleMash -  question 5 is not very clearly worded. One of the dashes is actually a hyphen (this should give you a bit of a clue).

BBC Bitesize: Have any of you had a look at the BBC bitesize lessons yet? There was an English one on Passive verbs on Wednesday which might be useful to consolidate this aspect of GPS.

The Reading lesson on today will also be useful to look at as it focuses on dialogue in text and what information we can gleam from this. This will also help us in our writing as we always have to show how dialogue is used to convey character and advance the action.

It might be a little early yet, but there is also a lesson today which is about moving onto High School. We know this is an area that everyone is thinking about and we will do our best to support everyone in Year 6 through this transition, whether that is back in school or remotely (if schools are unable to open before September).

We really hope that you have managed to enjoy the weather and get out for your daily exercise.

Try to let us know how you are getting on as we miss you all loads and getting e-mails from you makes us miss you a little less.

We have really enjoyed finding out what some of you have been doing over the Easter  holidays - there have been some fantastic photos and challenges!

Please remember that you can email us at any time with messages, photos or questions at  We will always try to reply as quickly as possible! Do what you can, when you can.

Also, if you have mislaid any of your log on details than please email and Mr Duffy will send you the details you need.

We would love to see some photos or to hear from you.

We are really missing you all!
