Week 2 Friday Blog

Year 6 Blog – Friday 3rd April 2020

Hello everyone!  So, we are now at the end of week two.  Have you all been doing some activities or exercise during the day? The weather is a bit on the chilly side but at least we are having some sunshine.  We have had a few e-mails from you all which is really nice.  Try to let us know how you are getting on as we miss you all loads and getting e-mails from you makes us miss you a little less.

We have really enjoyed finding out what some of you have been doing this week – please remember that you can email us at any time with messages, photos or questions at year6@collinghamschool.org  We will always try to reply as quickly as possible! Do what you can, when you can.

Also, if you have mislaid any of your log on details than please email onlinelearning@collinghamschool.org and Mr Duffy will send you the details you need.

It is officially the Easter holidays at 3:15pm today!  You can still continue with any activities that you may not have done yet, however, we will not be putting any new home learning on the website until after then.  White Rose Maths will be adding two fun activities a day to their home learning section on the website https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/ if you would like to have a look at them!

Why not try to do one, or some, of the following:

  • Make a den and have an indoor camping day.
  • Do some baking or cooking.
  • Do an art or crafting project.
  • Have an Easter Egg hunt.
  • Have a film night.
  • Download an indoor or garden scavenger hunt.
  • Go to an online concert or visit a virtual zoo and have some AR animals in your home!
  • Make a rainbow for one of the windows of your house: a sign of hope and love.
  • Make up a target game – perhaps like the one we started in PE with Mrs Stubbs.  Play it with your family.
  • Learn the lyrics to a Beatles song.  Try making some spoons into tiny Beatles puppets and act it out.
  • Do some of the Lego challenges.
  • Come up with some better ideas and share with us!

We would love to see some photos or to hear from you.

We are really missing you all!  Happy Easter!
