Week 4
In maths this week, the children have been comparing numbers using mathematical vocabulary and symbols. The children enjoyed a practical lesson using pipe cleaners to make the correct symbols. We have been blown away by how much the children’s reasoning and explanation skills have developed since September.
This week in DT we began practising the skills needed to make a puppet. The children used a template to create the puppet shape and we practised our cutting skills. We were blown away how focussed the children were and how much they persevered even if they found it tricky.
Some of the children even continued this learning in their own provision time and practised their skills. Here are some more photos of what the children have been busy doing during their ‘choosing their own learning’ time.
