Year 1 have had another busy week!
In maths we have been looking at ordinal numbers. The children enjoyed using multi-link cubes to create their own row of cubes and then using ordinal numbers to describe the position of the cubes. The children really worked hard on developing their mathematical vocabulary! We have also focussed on number lines to 10 and filling in missing numbers.
We continued with our DT project by beginning to develop the skills we will need to make our product. The children learnt new vocabulary such as 'template' and 'pattern' and they practised carefully and accurately drawing around a template to create a pattern on their fabric. You can see some pictures of them in action below. I am sure you will agree that they look very focussed!
We are very excited to take the children on our trip to Abbey House Museum next Wednesday!
Have a lovely weekend!
