We were so pleased to finally be able to hold Sports Day this week! The children had a fantastic time and all their practice during our PE lessons certainly paid off.
In maths, we have continued with our unit on ‘measures’ but have moved on to looking at capacity and volume. The children enjoyed a practical lesson on Friday where they had to find the capacity of different containers using non-standard units.
We have nearly finished our topic on the ‘Great Fire of London’ and are really looking forward to seeing you for our final parent event next Wednesday afternoon! This week, the children learnt about how news of the fire was spread in 1666 with no televisions or phones. The children wrote their own town crier speeches which they loved performing to the class!
Just a reminder that next week is transition week so the children will be spending Tuesday – Friday mornings in their new class. Have a lovely weekend and enjoy the sunny weather!
