Wow! We can’t believe that it is already the end of our first half term with year 1- it really has flown by!
It has been an incredibly busy week so here are some of the highlights!
We had an exciting visit from D-side this week who talked to us about staying safe when we are online. This linked really well with what we have been learning during our computing sessions in our first unit ‘My Online Life’.
On Wednesday morning, the children performed the song ‘The Singing Vegetables’ as part of our harvest celebration. The children really enjoyed learning this song – especially the actions! We are sure it is going to be stuck in our heads for a long time! We were absolutely blown away by how confidently the children performed and were so, so proud of them all!
On Wednesday afternoon, we held our first ‘Parent Event’. It was fantastic to finally be able to welcome you all into school and share our learning with you. It was lovely to see how excited the children were to show you their work and our classroom. We would like to thank you for coming and making it such a success. The children were so proud of their finished products and used them to perform puppet shows for the children in reception.
Well done year 1 for such a fantastic first half term! We hope you all enjoy a well-earned rest over the half term holiday!
