Welcome to the Collingham Lady Elizabeth Hastings’ Church of England (VA) Primary School website. I am delighted to be the headteacher of this wonderful school and I am excited to maintain the high standards that the school sets whilst exploring ways to further develop both the effectiveness and distinctive character.

Collingham is a thriving and happy village school on the outskirts of Wetherby, West Yorkshire. The school consistently performs above national expectations and these results place us amongst the top schools in the local authority. We have recently been named in the top 15 schools in Leeds for the second year in succession.

The school has a strong Christian identity and we believe passionately in encouraging both staff and pupils to show love, kindness and respect to one another. These three values support the whole ethos of our school and - through our ‘RESPECT Code’ - the children are positively encouraged and taught to make good choices.

Through our engaging curriculum, the children have access to many exciting opportunities – both inside and outside the classroom – with the aim of equipping them with the skills they need for lifelong learning. We strive for them to achieve their highest potential in all subjects whilst inspiring them to be kind and caring members of society. All children are challenged appropriately and we ensure that each and every member of our school is able to experience success.

Our dedicated and enthusiastic team of staff, recognise children as unique individuals with specific talents and needs.
