Unit: DS L2.9: Festivals (Part 1)

This half term the children are working towards answering our enquiry question: What are the deeper meanings of Christian & Jewish festivals?

 

Our key questions are:

  • Which festivals do Christians in Britain celebrate? How and why?
  • How and why do Jewish people celebrate Pesach?
  • How and why do Jewish people celebrate Rosh Hashanah?
  • Can you find any similarities between the festivals you have studied?
  • Are festivals important in Britain today?
  • What are the deeper meanings of Christian & Jewish festivals?
