PE

We will  be following the spiral curriculum on Tuesday (Indoor) and Thursday (Outdoor)

The sessions follow this model:

 

Tuesday: Yoga

We follow the River Bear Yoga scheme which teaches:

  • breathing
  • yoga poses
  • sun salutation
  • mindful meditation and relaxation techniques.

Thursday: Spiral PE

Area of physical literacy - transferable skill - using the skill in context

Physical - strength - explosive leg power - standing long jump

Physical - speed - timing -  standing triple jump

Physical - stamina and strength - holding strong body positions - gymnastics

Cognitive - peer mentoring - working as part of a team (4 x lessons) - gymnastics cheer routine

Physical - physical processing - performing a dance routine (4 x lessons)

Cognitive - evaluation - observe and evaluate - dance
