Week 3
This week, in DT, we thought about what we might need to do to prepare the fruit and vegetables for our soup.

The children learnt how to use a knife to safely chop food and we practised our skills using playdough. The children could confidently recall the knife safety skills and were really focussed during this activity! Well done year 1!
In computing, the children have been developing their mouse skills. This week, we practised controlling the mouse through clicking and dragging to draw, move and re-size objects. The children tried to draw concentric circles to create a piece of art-work Inspired by the work of Kandinsky.
In English, we have been learning about using different punctuation marks such as: question marks, exclamation marks and full stops. Today, we re-capped our learning by playing a game. Someone rolled the punctuation dice and everyone had to write a sentence using that punctuation mark. You can see some of our super sentences below!
