Week 2
Wow! What a busy but fantastic week we have had in year 1.
Thank you very much to those that have offered to help with our history topic on toys by either bringing old toys in to share or for Grandparents to come and talk to the children. The office, or Mrs Hesketh, will be contact to organise this.
In history, the children enjoyed thinking about how the toys that they play with have changed over their life and sequencing these on a timeline.
In DT, we began designing our animal puppets. The children thought really carefully about their designs and added their own labels to communicate their ideas. They are now very excited about making their puppets.
We learnt how to sing 'Happy Birthday' in French this week and the children also joined with a simple action song.
