We have had a wonderful first week back in year 1!
We have started our new Geography topic which is focussed around the enquiry question: What are the similarities and differences between Collingham and Leeds city centre? This week, we began by exploring different types of settlements. The children really enjoyed using Google earth to locate our nearest town and city and using aerial photographs to identify similarities and differences between them. We put all our ideas together to come up with a list of features for villages, towns and cities to help us identify them.
