Week 4
This week, in year 1, the children have enjoyed being artists! They explored how they could use textured objects around school to create rubbings with pencil and wax crayons. The children really enjoyed this activity and many continued this learning during their time in provision!
In Science, we learnt about another animal group - fish! The children explored the parts of a fish before labelling a diagram. We also talked about the similarities and differences between fish, mammals and birds.
” Fish have a tail like birds.”
” Fish have scales on them but mammals have fur.”
“ Fish have gills so they can breathe in water but mammals have to come out to get air.”
